I popped in to Inspire to have a game of Hoy and document the afternoon. Full details of what Hoy is and how to play it will be revealed in the newsletter!

Eleanor Shipman's public recipe project
Eleanor Shipman spent the Wonderful Walworth day at Pembroke House collecting local people's recipes, and they are now displayed around the Elephant & Castle Urban Forest / Heygate estate. Details on her website here
Gotitas de Sabor and Chambimbe, 10th September
Dropped in on the Latin American children's group Gotitas de Sabor (drops of flavour) on the Heygate estate and then to meet the Colombian group Chamimbe (below) at Pembroke House. There will be audio recordings of both on the Tate website.
Latin American Multicultural Association, September 7th
I went to meet Amparo Rendon today, who works from a unit on the Heygate estate making masks and costumes with local children, and runs loads of other activities. When I went they were getting ready for a night procession at the Thames festival, and for a Latin American carnival in Camberwell, which we've asked the wonderful artist Ana Laura Lopez de la Torre to go along to and document for a piece for the newsletter.

Working with the church congregation and Inua Ellams
On Sunday I went to St Christopher's Church with Inua Ellams to meet the church congregation and tell them about the Tate project. We were happy to have around 30 participants who took part in Inua's workshops after the service and produced some lovely pieces of writing. Thanks everybody and Inua!

Gardening Club, 10th August
I visited the Gardening Club on a lovely day and recorded some interviews with Kathleen and some of the other members. The vegetables are coming along well!
Afterwards Kathleen and I went to the Cuming Museum, and on the way saw some of the shops on the Walworth Road that had been damaged in the riots on Monday evening.
